Social Links - How To Use Guide
Posted by: Chromatic - 02-02-2015, 11:45 PM - Forum: Announcements - What's New - No Replies

I just installed a way to link your social sites, whatever they may be, to your profile -- Which will show them as icons in your posts.

For example -- I put in information for a Facebook, Flickr, Google+ and Twitter account, and it looks like this if you haven't already noticed in this post:

You can add virtually any social site you wish,.. this is how you get to the area to put in your information for whichever sites you happen to utilize:

First, from the main board index (page you come to at first from http://www.Qinteresting.com/forum/ ) -- You look at the top RIGHT corner and you will see this drop down menu (you must click your name to have the menu drop down)

When you click the Edit Profile,.. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.  Then look to the left and you will see the "Social Sites" button, click it as shown here:

This will bring up the following page, in which you simply enter the information for any sites you are a part of.  Then you hit "Submit Social Sites" Button at the bottom of that page and you are done!

That's all there is to it!  I realize many people are against social sites, and others love them.  This is just a feature that some will utilize and others will not. Smile

Take care,

Help Stop an agreement that would allow your ISP to charge "internet connection fees"
Posted by: Chromatic - 02-02-2015, 10:30 PM - Forum: Off-Topic - No Replies

Apparently the FCC is coming up with some new rules that will allow your ISP.. ie: Comcast, Charter, Verizon, etc.. To be able to charge "Internet connection fees"  -- Which basically will allow our internet providers to start purposefully slowing down parts of your internet based on the websites.  IE: They could slow down google transfers (making it buffer a lot)

And *offer* you the option to pay a fee to speed up that website.. this model is obviously popular for the ISP's because they can control the internet and profit based on speed regulation.

This is just wrong,.. and if people knew what was going on they would try to stop it.  So it's important you send your support and position on this matter to the FCC via email. Below this is exactly what to put in the email, who to send it to, and so on.  So use your favorite email program, Gmail, outlook, etc.

Media reports are coming out about FCC's forthcoming rules, and for the most part they sound really, really good. But, there’s one important detail, a loophole that might still let Comcast mess with services like Netflix. Can you send the FCC an email right now?

Things are moving really fast right now, and we’ll know more soon. But journalists at the Wall Street Journal have been briefed on the FCC’s latest plans, and it looks like the FCC will be giving cable companies like Comcast some ability to charge “interconnection fees.”

These fees are the reason Comcast forced broken and “buffering” video on millions of its own customers, just to extort money from Netflix.

We still don’t know the details of the rules yet. Probably even the Wall Street Journal hasn’t seen the exact text. And, if early reports are true, we could be looking at a huge victory for net neutrality. The rules look better than anybody ever thought the y’d be.

But we wanted to sound the alarm. As we move into the end game, we need the FCC to know we’re watching, and that we’re dead serious about getting net neutrality done right, with no loopholes for the cable companies to exploit. If there’s a big loophole (and it looks like there might be) let’s do everything we can to fix it right now. Are you with us?

We need you.

Thanks for doing this.

Sincerely,
Holmes Wilson and the Fight for the Future team.

To send the FCC the email,..

Copy this to your Subject field in email:

Subject: Don’t mess with Netflix

*Of course remove the word "Subject:" if you copy and paste*

Copy this into the "To:" field in your email.

To: wheeler@fcc.gov
BCC:jonathan.sallet@fcc.gov,debra.weiner@fcc.gov,jacob.lewis@fcc.gov,michele.ellison@fcc.gov,mignon.clyburn@fcc.gov,adonis.hoffman@fcc.gov,rebekah.goodheart@fcc.gov,louis.peraertz@fcc.gov,daniel.alvarez@fcc.gov,ruth.milkman@fcc.gov,gigi.sohn@fcc.gov,philip.verveer@fcc.gov,maria.kirby@fcc.gov,diane.cornell@fcc.gov,renee.gregory@fcc.gov,matthew.berry@fcc.gov,nicholas.degani@fcc.gov,ajit.pai@fcc.gov,mike.orielly@fcc.gov,amy.bender@fcc.gov,shannon.gilson@fcc.gov,mark.wigfield@fcc.gov,kim.hart@fcc.gov,jonathan.chambers@fcc.gov,jon.wilkins@fcc.gov,julie.veach@fcc.gov,matthew.delnero@fcc.gov,roger.sherman@fcc.gov,kris.monteith@fcc.gov,team@fightforthefuture.org

*Remove the "To:" from the above of course*

And the message/body of your email is the following:

Dear FCC,

I don't want Youtube, Netflix, Vimeo or *any* online video to look like this: http://gph.to/1D7oxY7

If you let cable companies charge interconnection fees, Comcast will keep slowing sites down until they cough up more cash.

Every American Internet user will suffer, and they’ll blame the FCC (and, likely, Obama) for not closing this loophole when they had the chance. I sincerely hope that the Wall Street Journal is wrong, and that your rules will ban these shakedown tactics outright.

Sincerely,
Everyone who watches video online.

As some of you know, most probably don't.  I love cars,.. and I love my current car/dd/ and ongoing project Smile

It's a 2008 350Z.

Right now I have it at a Z specialist doing some work,.. first bit of work I haven't done myself to it, but I don't have a lift and I just don't want to go through the pain of dropping a transmission with jack stands. Smile

Dropped it off today, and here's a shot of her on the lift ready to spill her guts.

Here's the car in general,.. I've done lots to it from Electrical, Audio, Cosmetic, to Performance.. but I like to keep things as stock looking as possible.

I'll post a bit of the Journal I keep online of some work I've done to the car:

Here is the Custom Audio system I built and ripped the car apart to install.

Patriots Win again.. 4th Ring for Brady.

But... Can you believe the call Pete Carroll made with 30 seconds to go in the game, with 2 timeouts, on the 1 yard line?  To PASS on 1st down???  Who does that?  Immediate interception and game over,.. when The Seahawks should have won that game .. they had 1 foot to go to score, with enough time/timeouts to run 4 plays,.. it was almost a definite win, but the coach calls a pass and BOOM interception and they lose.  Crazy!

Even the Seahawks playeres are openly criticizing on social media the coaches call:

Here's the play in slow motion that lost the Game for one team, and solidified victory for the Patriots and Tom Brady again.

What say you?

Esentially the forum is Mobile Friendly now, 100%.  It will work without tapatalk, but it's MUCH easier using the Tapatalk application on forums that have supported it.

If you need any help, just reply, send a PM, or otherwise ask.  Although it's super simple to use.

To sign into Tapatalk App you can use Facebook, or create an account.  Either are quick.

Enjoy! Cool
